Pro-Life and Pro-Middle Class

I'm a conservative Christian voter but I am intelligent enough not to vote on a Pro-Life only basis. I am voting for McCain because of his ethics AND because he will protect the middle class. My husband and I say everday, "If Obama gets elected, life as we know it is going to change." Yes, he will probably help out the "lower working class". But the college-educated, "hard-working class" will be paying even more taxes to help them out and will live at a more equal standard. At that rate, why should my family have any motivation to work hard and try to achieve more for ourselves if it's just going to be taken away through taxes and given to someone else who may not ever work the hours my husband works or make the types of sacrifices we've made to reach the level of living we've reached. If people elect Obama, they have been deceived.

Amazing

How stupid do you think women are McCain? Instead of picking a strong running mate, someone to better our country you pulled an obvious stunt to try and put yourself in the lead. We see through it. Women I mean. Good luck to you.....

McCain's Got it Wrong

As a 51 year old, staunch Republican female who never voted for a Democratic presidential candidate, I'm stunned by McCain's choice for VP!

Experience!?! Who are we kidding? McCain just blew his best point. Such pandering is sickening! I cannot in good conscience vote in this election.

And, it's certainly flummoxing why a mother of a four month old, special needs baby would entertain a political position that requires extensive travel and time demands. Is this a new defination of "Family values?"

Vice Presidential Choice

pro-choice is not the only issue but it is an important one especially when considering the issue of infanticide as it concerns late term abortions and new borns. However, even if a ltmus test were to be rquired on the abortion issue, McCain still would have some exceptional choices. I actually believe that Mitt Romney (who I supported for president over McCain) is a great choice. Yet when considering the current state of affairs McCain's absolutely best choice would be Alaska Governor Sarah Palin.

Her conservative credentials can not be debated, her record of fighting corruption be it with big oil or fellow Republicans, and her record on the enviornment combined with her credibility on the issue of energy make her superior to all other choices for the times.

Additionally as the Governor with the nations highest popularity rating (80%) she brings executive experience that balances a McCain ticket in a way that unparralled compared to the Obama-Biden ticket.

On top of Sarah Palin being qualified and capable of handling the job of President if called upon, as a young woman, her presence on the ticket will inject an energy and enthusiasm that no other choice could create.

As the Vice Presidential nominee, Johm McCain will demonstrate that although he is old, his thinking is fresh and that not only does he bring to the table experience but also a foresight for the future that will allow America to inherit a new generation of leaders whom are capable of applying the proven conservative principles of yesterday to the governance of tomorrow.

Mitt Romney

I'm a Conservative from Mississippi Teacher a Christian I want Mitt for America?

Willie Harrell

McCain should pick Kay Bailey Hutchison. She is a great choice.

McCain would definately win the women's vote.

McCain--an undisguised idiot

If you are a voter, and your sole or most important issue is pro-life, then you are an idiot, plain and simple. No one doubts your right to your opinion, however, with all the pain, suffering and death of real live people, your worry about what may or may not be a person seems disconnected with the message you all claim to be spreading--the word of Jesus. Sadly, most of you are more interested in spreading the word of the Old Testament's wrathful god or the misogyny of whomever wrote the anti-female epistles in Paul's name. If you actually followed Christian doctrine, you would be supporting health care for all, a lessening of tension between races, a commitment to feeding, clothing and houses all of God's children. Take care of the world as it is; be generous, kind and forgiving.

Oh, but wait, it's hard to live up to those standards, so why bother. Fixate on a few obscure biblical references, make up your own doctrine, change the message and you have a Christianity you can live with because the message is simple and salvation is assured. So much easier. McCain is, and always has been, one who does not care about or for the poor, the disadvantaged or the downtrodden. He would rather appeal to white evangelicals who have decent lives and the free time to create bogus issues like abortion. You people are pathetic, both politically and spiritually, to believe the rich will help bring what Christ wanted to the earth.

It is now a pathology with you. You are a waste of time.

Its Jindal!

Everyone is wrong. Mccain is polling for the possibility of a pro-choice candidate but its not Ridge or Lieberman. He is considering Ridge or Guiliani. Mccain respects Lieberman tremendously but it doesn't take much brain cells to realize that a Lieberman pick would shock the base to stay home in November. I still believe that Mccain needs to bring on a face that will represent the next generation of leadership, not only for the GOP but for the country. The only person that fits that bill to the T is Bobby Jindal!

Jindal would create a vast contrast in the debate with Biden. While Biden will come across as a pit bull attacking Jindal on the foreign policy front. Jindal will come across as the kid genius that will put Biden to shame on the exectutive and economic front. Its the economy stupid! Mccain's got the credential for CIF, he now needs a CFO.

The man is huckabee

Huckabee is the right man for the job

Pro-choice or Pro-life!

John, Pule-e-ze pick a Pro-Life as Vice Presidential candidate! for your sake and OURS.

I would prefer Mike Huckabee; but I would also like to recommend Michael S. Steele, former Lieutenant Governor of MD.

I think you know why one or the other of these statesmen would be a great strength in your coming election bid in November.

I and many, many others are counting on you to make the right decision; and we're praying for you to do so. I'm sure that you are also.
