Article perpetuates racial alliances
Why is the article centered around two black-Americans endorsing Barack? It would have been great to get some other republicans who could be on the edge of uni-partisianship. The insinuation from the article is going to be "two black-american politicians blur the party-lines because of race" rather than the fact that alot of Republicans are looking for change and perhaps will be voting for Barack.

Looking for a Hero
I would love to see Colin Powell run. I'm from the old school and feel in my heart our leader needs to have served our country. This has not always been the case when it comes to our presidents, but it should be a requirement. I want to feel the security of knowing the one who rules would give his life if need be to save his own.

Racial allegiance
I guess all whites or conservatives who vote for McCain can also be accused of racial allegiance more than anything else. Right? You insult the intelligence of the voters and are quite obvious in your prejudice. If Rice or Powell vote for Obama, perhaps it is because he is the better candidate. We had eight disastrous years of Bush and where did that lead us...to a nation with millions of foreclosed homes, millions of lost jobs, huge deficits, an ill-conceived and unplanned war that costs us not only in thousands of lost lives but billions of dollars a month, 50 million people without health insurance. The financial state of the union, thanks to Bush and the Republican Congress, is a mess, thanks to Bush we have the mortgage crisis, unstable stock market and I could go on but we all get the pictture. Now, you want us to deal with McCain, a Bush duplicate! McCain is thinking of putting Phil "Foreclosure Phil, Gramm as his Treasury Secretary! Gramm who is known in Washington as the lead perp of this whole subprime debacle. Thanks to Gramm and Lugar we can't stop this mess for God only knows how long. Next time think before you talk and know what you are going to talk about first.
