Here! Here!
When Tim Russert passed, my first thought was that no one could fill his shoes. He was one of a kind. That was until I heard Luke speak on Oprah the other day and it was crystal clear. He has the same respectful elequence as his father. I was so impressed with his view and comments about the candidates of the upcoming presidential election, all the while not giving his bias one way or the other. He is a natural. I know he's young, but He get's it. He had a fabulous role model!
luke, the force is with you...
... the kid has leadership ability with a little more life experience. As a 27 y/o i can see him leading this country to great things with his father's ability to question the status quo.

Luke Russert
I am a 35 y/o, single, hispanic, female who's not followed politics throughout my life, but I am obsessed with this election because it's my future we're talking about!! However, I always made it a point to watch Tim Russert as often as I could and I really enjoyed his journalism style...he seemed like a very ethical man, whose quest to inform this nation on politics. I believe that if Luke were to take his dad's chair, would be a great thing. He's extremely eloquent, well versed and well educated on politics enough to stand up against those who've been in the senate for 26 years....no pun intended. We need someone to speak for our generation....someone who has the guts and the will to inform the future of this nation on the Washington politics. If not Meet The Press, then heck...he should definitely have a show dedicated to the future of this nation. Enough of concentrating on old money and old politics!
Right ON!
This man is young, yes but talented, blessed and graceful. I said it right away after I seen him on the Today show so much grace in his grief. He is well educated and brilliant like his father. Lets put him in his dads chair where he belongs! We need him. America Needs him.

I too would love to see Luke in his father's chair hosting Meet the Press. However, I agree he is too immature to meet or exceed the expectation of critics who tend to think because he is Tim's son that he will be just like Tim and that is a lot to put on a young man who father's has past so recently. I would love to see him be a co-host Meet the Press now and then so that he can get his feet wet and find his style as it eases us into seeing him learn and grow and become part of the Political team on MSNBC if that is the path he decides to take.
A personal Message to Luke:
Luke, your father influenced my hopeful view of politics and his unbiasedness he presented on Meet the Press was extremely impressive.
Luke, I wish you all the Peace & Love you could ever want or need. You are a handsome young man, with charm and wit and you will go far should you choose to a career in television.
Luke, be sure to hold your mother close and enjoy every moment you spend with her because you are going to be one busy young man.
Peace and Love

Luke Russert
I miss Tim Russert. Luke makes me feel proud. I know how proud he made his father. I would like to see more of him. I would love to see him on Meet The Press. He is the closest thing we have to Tim.
Take him off the air!!!!!
Although, this isn't directly about this article, it is about Luke Russert's abilities to be in the public eye. I watched him interviewing young kids at the Democratic National Convention. He's sloppy, he doesn't speak clear, and he's an idiot. The Republicans will love having him on the air, because he will, in turn, turn so many prospective young voters off!
Such BS!
I'm sorry his dad died. My dad died too, but nobody decided based on that I should be elevated past every other hardworking shmuck to positions I niether earned or merit. And face it. This kid is a slob. His enunciation is garbled, and that "composure" is just the misplaced confidence of kid who is way too full of himself. Nepotism is alive and well. So people would run the media and the country just like the British royal family. Kids shouldn't automatically parents' jobs.

I believe that Luke Russert would be a great choice to move into his father's moderating position. He is wise beyond his years and will move our country's momentum as it relates to youth involvement into a new era for our governing process.
