On the subject of Contractors in Iraq
i believe that Blackwater USA is a requirement to the war in Iraq.Some might say Blackwater and other private security contractors are evil but if that is the case, they are a necessary evil. Our military has been pushed to the limits on manpower. I mean, u might see troop level numbers on CNN or FOX news but 1/3 of them are support staff such as mechanics, cooks, clerks, and intel personel so we need the extra manpower. Most of them have had earlier military experience so its not like were just sending your average joe off to Iraq with a gun to fight.
When you're fighting an unconventional conflict such as Iraq, you have to do occasional "dirty-work" and our regular Army isnt "allowed" to do it. So when a contractor gets nervous and fires into an angry crowd, its horrible for me to say this but its kind of the price of doing business.
