Foreclosures a Boon to Marijuana Farmers
While the national foreclosure crisis has destroyed families, shattered neighborhoods, and contributed to the untimely death of at least one Chihuahua (at the hands of bloodthirsty bees), it may well have been a boon for your local marijuana producer.
Last month, we learned of a California man who was arrested on suspicion of using his foreclosed home as a pot farm. Now, the loco weed was reportedly found growing at a foreclosed home in Florida, too.
From NBC2, in Fort Myers, Fla.:
A vacant house in Lehigh Acres may look like just another foreclosed home, but deputies actually found out it was a 'budding' business.
Deputies removed around 100 marijuana plants from the home....Deputies say it's one of two new scenarios: a grow house operator with no intent of ever paying the mortgage, or someone simply noticed that the house was empty and set up shop.
Apparently, the foreclosure farm approach even helps drug producers evade police.
From NBC2:
No arrests were made, as no one was living in the home. The listed owners live outside Miami in Hialeah.

Really 2 Wars
Headlines about the Mexican "drug war" top off today with "U.S. Congressman’s Family Member Kidnapped in Juarez" tied into the "drug war."
Is that US Congressman actually surprised? It's what he asked for, being part of the "conservative" gov't stripping people of their rights to consume what they want.
It's clear the cartels are only answering the gov't call to "fight." The cartels are simply giving them the "fight" the gov't started 70 years ago. Yes, this is the one same drug "war."
But, there are actually 2 wars happening concurrently.
One fight is the gov't's "war on drug disorder" - the fight they take daily to U.S. citizens, and to drug dealers - the rich, powerful cartels.
Fight two is free people fighting for their rights to freely consume what they want. These liberties are substantiated and protected by the Constitution.
These 2 wars have nothing to do with the illegal drugs.
They are simply a misalignment of gov't policy that criminalizes a valid market and marketplace instead of regulating it. And, the 2 wars are about people's constitutional liberties and rights and how the gov't is suppressing them.
People will war for their freedoms, rights and liberties. They did in 1776. They are still fighting today.
That's human nature.
So, just remember, as the "wars" in Peru, in Mexico, in America and spreading to engulf the rest of the world heat up, you are BEGGING for the violence they bring to escalate. You should EXPECT it as long as you do *not* vote to fully legalize and regulate the market currently in prohibition status, which market gov't policy unrightly criminalizes against constitutional rights and freedoms.

3175 People in U.S. Killed Daily vs 0
A Google search reveals the following statistics for U.S. citizens:
300,000 people killed by OBESITY (yet the gov't allows junk foods to be legally sold).
100,000 people killed by ALCOHOL (yet the gov't allows alcohol to be legally sold).
434,000 people killed by TOBACCO (yet the gov't allows tobacco to be legally sold).
225,000 people killed from iatrogenic causes (by DOCTORS) - yet the gov't allows doctors/hospitals to be legal.
OVER 100,000 people killed by legal PHARMACEUTICALS (yet the gov't allows doctors/hospitals to be legal).
The hair brained "conservative" politicians resting on their shiny desk seats claim they keep drugs illegal because they do NOT want to create an unhealthy society.
Marijuana kills ZERO people annually. Marijuana kills ZERO people daily.
3175 people killed in the U.S. DAILY by LEGAL substances vs 0 killed by marijuana (an illegal substance).
And, they call THIS a "healthy society"?
Be responsible. Re-legalize Re-regulate.

Correction and Addendum
OVER 100,000 people killed by legal PHARMACEUTICALS (yet the gov't allows PHARMACEUTICALS to be legal).
At these numbers, by comparison marijuana is considered HEALTHY to consume.
