Dave is right on target

He pegged Palin from the very beginning, and he's proved his point. This woman is useless, she is an annoyance to all.

Hey Sarah,

Here's a basketball analogy for ya.....

Quitters never Win...and

Winners never Quit..

....I guess..unless your name is Sarah Palin..then when the going gets tough....you quit....

Robert, You're Out of Touch if You Didn't Understand Sarah

Palin's comment was crystal clear to me. Her statement was not a joke, it was not classless and it was not cheap. I completely understood her meaning and would have said the same if I were her. Letterman should be fired and until he has been fired, I refuse to watch CBS or buy from any of the companies I learn continue to advertise on CBS. As consumers, we have choice. Especially in today's economy when sales are so low. My money will go to other companies and I will watch other channels for entertainment.

C B S

C B S is dead...Les and Katie and David will get less and less viewers and tell you how stupid you are for not turning on C B S

Palin made NO joke!!!!

Where in the world is the cheap ,classless JOKE???? A mother states she wouldn't want her daughter to be with a man who made a CHEAP, CLASSLESS JOKE about her and that's CLASSLESS????????

Palin was not looking for any LAUGHS!!!!!!!

It is comments like this that give people the impression that the media is ULTRA LIBERAL and BIASED.

Sarah Palin Matches David Letterman in Cheap, Classless Jokes

“He has never made jokes about children and when he made his first apology to state that the joke was about 18 year old Bristol Palin I believed him. There was absolutely no reason not to.

To see him accused of being a liar, pervert, advocate of rape and possible predator was far more disturing to me than a “knocked up” joke.”

Uhm why do you believe the joke was about Bristol Palin.

“There was absolutely no reason not to”

Really? Didn’t letterman say checked twice?

Doesn’t Letterman work for CBS?

Didn’t CBS/Letterman have to “vett” the jokes BEFORE they were aired?

The correct answer to all of the above is YES.

Letterman made his Willow rape joke on June 9th, he made his Willow is a whore joke on June 10th.

June 7th, CBS New York reported (as their TOP story) Palin’s Trip to New York, including that Willow was the

“Alaska Gov. Palin Talks About Special Needs In NY

NEW YORK (CBS) Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin has called for measures to make life better for people with developmental disabilities during a speech in New York….

Palin was being honored at an anniversary celebration for the Manorville-based

Independent Group Home Living Inc. after attending a Yankees game.

She was joined by her husband, daughter Willow and a sister.”

“There was absolutely no reason not to. To see him accused of being a liar”

Not only is Letterman a PROVEN liar by CBS OWN report, CBS acknowledges that they knew the joke was about 14 year-old Willow.

Further proof that CBS Knew the joke was about 14 year-old Willow is the FACT! That CBS deleted Letterman’s Willow Palin rape joke out of transcript it sent out to the New York Times.

Considering ALL the FACTUAL information available by CBS, how can you conclude Letterman and CBS are telling the truth?

Oh, one more thing, the following night, after this all blew up in Letterman’s face, Letterman made his Willow is a whore joke.

"The hardest part of her visit [to New York] was keeping Eliot Spitzer away from her daughter," Letterman said. Palin's daughter, Willow ...

So please anyone, tell me why you still believe Letterman/CBS?

"Plus, it would be wise to keep Willow away from David Letterman"

Except that wasn’t a joke, as I'm sure Letterman will be finding out. You make jokes about raping 14 year-old girls you can and should expect to be under investigation by Crimes Against Children (CAC)of the FBI.

"The mission of our Crimes Against Children (CAC) program is threefold: first, to decrease the vulnerability of children to sexual exploitation; second, to develop a nationwide capacity to provide a rapid, effective, and measured investigative response to crimes against children; and third, to enhance the capabilities of state and local law enforcement"

I'm sure Letterman is no more a threat to children than say, Bernie Ward the “lion of the Left”

Robert S. Comments

I would not want my daughter near a man that speaks so disrespectfully of any young woman. As a man, I guess his comments would pass in a low class bar room discourse. Both Davids should go to a higher level.

Further more, to excuse Letterman because Palin threw a negative his way is also ignorant. It comes under "two wrongs don't make a right".

There are jokes... and there are jokes. Same goes for taste.

The David Letterman I have enjoyed watching for so many years displays traditional mid-westersn values and a gentleman’s sense of decency. He has never made jokes about children and when he made his first apology to state that the joke was about 18 year old Bristol Palin I believed him. There was absolutely no reason not to.

To see him accused of being a liar, pervert, advocate of rape and possible predator was far more disturing to me than a “knocked up” joke. These accusations were not jokes, and Palin even reiterated the same in her so called “acceptance” of Letterman’s apology.

David Letterman made a tasteless joke. Sarah Palin *is* a tasteless joke.
