Newt Gingrich Might Go Third Party? The Conservative Delusion Continues

Newt Gingritch and Conservative Third Party
Actually sir, if the pricniples of conservatism were followed by the GOP, there would be no war in Iraq, no foreign military bases, no income tax, no federal reserve, no HMO's, increased propserity . . . along with some of the other things that us non-conservatives despise, such as anti-abortion laws for instance. the problem is the neo-cons came from the left, and so you have this Republican Party that's just as Newt said: the right wing of big government. they leverage the economy up on debt and cut taxes only to yield more taxes in return. tey handle globalization by expanding Truman's empire to the very limits of true colonialism, ect. The problem is, you buy into the nonsense rhetoric that the GOP today are conservative.
real small-government conservatives would oppose all marriage regulation, preempive war, entangling alliances, trade control, ect.
Why I Am No Longer an (R)
I'm sick of the the religious right dictating the terms of the Party's future. I'm tired of televangelists screaming about socialism while they don't pay taxes. I'm sick to death of so-called conservatives trying to ram their moral values down everyone's throat and failing to call it what it is - Fascism.
I'm sick and tired of Republicans turning into liberals who never met a government program they didn't fall in love with. I'm sick of people calling George Bush a conservative - he wasn't.
And what's with the notion that a conservative can start a war? We don't do that.
I'm sick of Republicans telling me that Muslims are coming to kill me - so they'll need to borrow my civil liberties (for a while) - and yet failing to secure our southern border so that their fat cat business friends can still have all the cheap labor they can vacuum up. If we're under such threat, where have the attacks been that a hyper-paranoid nation like Israel can't seem to stop, and yet we see none of?
Bringing me to my next point. Israel. If I hear that Israel is our ally and friend one more time, I may very well vomit. Does the attack on the USS Liberty ring a bell with anyone? How many times has Israel been caught stealing our nuclear secrets, only to sell them to China, who promptly sells them to North Korea? Israel is not our friend. It is run and is full of opportunists who see us as a weak, stupid people, driven to love Israel because of Biblical prophecy that people have been waiting for for 2000 years. Israel writes our foreign, to be sure. We excuse their acts of ethnic cleansing - please don't try to tell me that there was no one living in Jerusalem when Israel was "awarded" to the Jews after the barbaric events of WW2 (see, you have to say things like "barbaric events" when you talk about Israel and what happened to the Jews in WW2 or you become an anti-Semite and therefore unworthy of being listened to).
I do enjoy seeing the Republicans trying to justify runaway spending in other foreign countries, but poo-pooing infrastructure spending here at home. I wonder why this is. I wonder why its okay to spend hundreds upon hundreds of billions of US taxpayer dollars in a third world piss-ant little crap-house false nation like Iraq (which didn't exist until the Brits decided it should...the same people who decided that Israel should be redrawn after natural selection had ordained her death). I wonder why we were told that the war would be paid for from the Iraqi oil revenues which build up and build up in Iraqi coffers, but all we get here is a steady stream of dead and wounded. I wonder why it is we bother trying to help a nation like Afghanistan, who has essentially legalized rape.
Whatever. I was gone when the Party selected McCain as their nominee. Pandering to the left is no way to get elected to a party full of conservatives - even if you do try to scare them. The Party is no place for thinking people. Its a place for sheep.

When are all of you political "experts" going to realize, that America was founded by people who believed in principles, unlike the current crop of clowns who raise a moistened index finger to determine the direction of the political wind? It's not about what ideas are "in fashion" today. Conservatives don't necessarily believe that America IS conservative. They believe conservatism is best for America, and that America prospered under true Conservative leadership. Conservatism deserves a voice in the political debate, whereas the GOP has moved away from small government Conservatism in a huge way in the past 8 years. The Republican party as a representation of conservatism in government is largely an imposter.
Many Conservatives believe that we have not had a true conservative voice in America since Reagan. Looking at the spending practices of the 3 Bush terms, it's hard to deny this argument. Don't blame Conservatives for not wanting to support a rapidly leftward-leaning GOP, no matter what percentage of America considers itself "conservative."
Stagnant wages are better than none at all
Still hava a JOB? Even Jr Senator Obama acknowleges how bad/how quick "things" have gotten and illecited fear of "catastrophy" unless his Stimulus and Budget were inacted. The sad fact that Conservatives KNOW is that you cannot spend your way out of debt. Ever started or ran a business? It takes guts, skill and money and provides JOBS and should give a reward to the owners.
I agree the CEO's were greedy but so was every American who bought a house they couldn't afford, rode the Stock Market wave and continued to buy 8 MPG "land-tanks" while whining about "being green". We are all to blame and instead of taking our lumps by riding out the economic price "correction", we're passing a HUGE debt onto our children and grandchilren by following the Obama pied piper. Remember that story? Didn't turn out so well for the "followers" as I recall.

The far-far one-note right ruined the GOP. Now the far-far one note left is wanting to ruin everyone. I just wonder if my newly elected Democrat delegation to DC is enjoying the tummy rubs they get by rolling over for Nutty Polosi and Barmy Frank.
Newt and Third Party Issue
As a FORMER Republican ( 51 years ) I will express why I ( and many others ) have defected the GOP :
1 ) They pay no attention to the Main Street concerns of working Americans and ignore flat or declining wages and spiralling health care costs which are crippling the middle
class.
2) They have engaged in years of vicious badmouthing people who were not "on their side " . Those outside the GOP are the "enemy , or not patriotic , not REAL Americans " . They actively encourage their members to be suspicious of any idea that is not a sanctioned " republican " viewpoint , and then cast negative and false aspersions on "outsiders " without a
commitment to truth , fact , or human decency " .
3) They consistently try to cultivate fear in their members of
new ideas or approaches to problem solving . ( Only Republicans can have policies that are not evil or leaders who are not sinister and dangerous ) . This is a great party for stupid people who are not critical thinkers and have an insular view of the universe .
4) They are not above deceit , even with the characteristic religious fervor of their dogma , as evidenced in years of trying to convince Americans that it is noble for young people to die cruel deaths in Iraq because they are protecting us from the people who attacked on 9-11 .
5) Trickle down economics is a myth , and you can not convince people who see their wages remain stagnant while CEO's and corporate board members create legal ways to hord great wealth
despite poor performance . ( And by the way , regulation , is
a dangerous plot for democrats to turn the US into a socialist enterprise . )
This party has no philosophy that thinking people can buy into , and slandering their opponents , creating phony fears ,
and ignoring the travails of the working class has left them in the dust and with no guiding objective to define themselves .
I love the idea ...
of conservatives finding yet one more way to implode. What they have not yet discovered -- but will, I dare say, in 2012 if Obama is even marginally successful -- is that the average American is sick and tired of principle above pragmatism. Conservatives are far more devoted to practicing their ideologies than they are to leading this nation. And if the nation suffers to prove the wisdom of their "truths", so be it. THIS is what relegated them to the wilderness, not any deviation from blind philosophies that have proven themselves morally and intellectually bankrupt.
As long as conservatives are convinced Americans are motivated by rigid, unyielding principles, no matter what the situation, they will remain outcasts. And good for it.
Not a third party but a second country
If this is not a Conservative country, and as a Conservative I am starting to think the American people have lost their spirit, then it is not necessarily time for a third party, but a second country. Yes, in the last election there were more blue states than red states, but there were still enough red states to indicate that this a very divided country.
Remember, the vote was 52-47 for Obama, a majority but certainly not an overwhelming mandate. If we could let the conservative states form an independent country and the liberal states go their own way, we could get rid of the all the flaming rhetoric from both sides and give every American an opportunity to live in a country where they actually have a voice.
To be very blunt, after hearing Russian leaders warn us about abandoning free markets, and the Germans and French giving Obama lessons on fiscal discipline, it makes me feel that America has totally lost its direction. As much as I disliked Bill Clinton, I still thought he managed our country better than the Europeans managed theirs. Now, I am ashamed to admit that Obama has, in 3 months, taken this country to a place where I actually agree more with the leaders of these other countries than my own President. How sad, but even sadder is that he gets 60 percent approval ratings at home. Time for a second country where those who don't want his Socialistic change can go and live free.
America used to be the place where the rest of the world came to get away from the craziness, but now Americans will be going to live other places to get away from Obama's assault on freedom. That is, the people who actually pay taxes and support the 50-55 percent of the people who basically pay no taxes but take giveaways from the government. Where the hell will these people be when the achievers either decide to stop achieving or decide to live elsewhere?
A third party could bring about change perhaps over the course of our lifetimes if we are lucky, but a clean break with the USA into a more conservative breakaway country would make the transition alot faster.
Of course, Obama would use force to keep this from happening because those people who live in blue states that caused this economic meltdown want the rest of the country to pay taxes to bail them out. Besides, why shoud the government care if various states drop out of the federal union? The Soviet Union once broke up, and we are hypocritical to think it is not okay for the USA to break up if our government fails us as the Soviet government failed its people.
Best right-wing news I have heard this year
Having Newt form a more conservative thire party is a wonderful idea and long overdue.
This would absolutely ensure that Barack and Michelle would have two terms---and without much hassle. Super!!!!!
Posters Make the Columnist's Case For Him
Just reading all these hate flled rants, some of them the same ones seen over and over again on differing topics altogether, makes it easy to see why conservatism is currently out of favor among rank and file Americans. It is "My way or the highway" with conservatives. "Let's have another Gettysburg, and we'll kick your butts" kind of thinking. Most Americans are weary to death of that kind of thinking and that kind of rhetoric. Yes, the Rush worshippers are a large minority. Hopefully, that strident voice will continue to shrink the ranks of the haters and fear mongers. Liberalism or any ism for that matter, is not the answer if carried too far. I'll take it any day however, over the current form of conservatism, which is downright hateful, bullying, scary and OBNOXIOUS.
