Fox Enters Realm of Self-Parody With New "Fox Nation" Opinion Site

Have you seen The Fox Nation, Fox News Channel's new opinion site, yet? Intrigued by this Hot Air post, I wandered over and checked it out. I wonder if it isn't a giant put-on by The Onion—Fox has officially entered the realm of self-parody.

Allahpundit writes:

Portfolio and Inside Cable News note that Fox has basically abandoned the "fair and balanced" motto by launching a site this partisan.

This partisan indeed. When I checked the site this morning, I almost felt like I had entered a GOP wayback machine with headlines about Bill Ayers and Jeremiah Wright. Other highlights included an Al Franken reference as Stuart Smalley, and a link to a story about an Obama appointee who "supports a one world order." In short, the "fair and balanced" network's opinion site could double as an official Republican Party website.

One featured post was headlined "The tax man cometh." It led, with a one-link interval, to what appears to be a Fox "news" story (in other words it lives on the "Fox News" site, rather than the "The Fox Nation" opinion site). So the new Fox opinion site is using Fox "news" stories for its content. Quel supris.

Hell, I'll bookmark the site. And file the bookmark right next to The Onion under parody.
