Why can't we carry flame throwers? Those who outlaw flame throwers are against God. Oh, and Mom too! If you outlaw flame throwers only outlaws will throw flames.

Right now, the Armed Forces can carry flame throwers. What happens when they "turn"?? and you know what I mean.

How will we defend ourselves with our puny little .45's and .30-.30's.? Where are the flame thrower corporations in this? Bunch of girly men!

Hypocritical Gun Control

Each of us owes our freedom to above average Americans with Faith in their hearts, Guns in their hands and the guts to step onto a battlefield to fight for freedom. All this to allow others to Denounce God, blame guns for the downfall of Society and seek to hand our freedoms over to the likes of the United Nations in order to "get along" with the rest of the World. When our worst fears happen and "Red Dawn" becomes a reality those are the same ones who will be looking for some "Gun toting Radical" to Pray with, be protected by and complain to about the loss of their rights. God,Guns and Guts isn't a phrase it's a way of life.

DC resists 2nd Amendment, again

Let's see if I get this straight. DC wants a new right that they don't have, but only if they can ignore a right that already exists? Wasn't the Bill of Rights created so that Government COULDN'T pick and choose who gets favors and to ensure all citizens get to exercise their rights? If DC's council has lost sight of this, do we really want them sending like-minded elitists to Congress to selectively represent their district? Maybe some more time on the sidelines is in order.

If people stop thinking like an elitist ("we know best for the little people") and start understanding the crime problem through the mind of a criminal ("this population has been disarmed for our convenience. What a victim-rich place to apply our criminal trade!"), then the solution will be readily at hand. If DC's law abiding citizens could carry a gun wherever they go, criminals would take the first bus to Bloomberg's town!

Since the Brady Bunch want to end gun accidents and crimes I often wonder when they will turn their wrath to Car Control, eliminating accidents and crimes involving cars? A real, true assault weapon is a fully automatic gun- that is, you squeeze the trigger, and it fires constantly until one of 3 things happens: 1: it jams 2: you run out of ammunition 3: you release the trigger. NO NEW automatic weapons have been sold for years to the public. ANY auto is very expensive and requires fees and taxes and investigations and permits.... They are also very expensive to play with, as ammunition costs money. You would see, if you were observant and emotionally in control of yourself, that the democrats of congress loves to toss wrenches into the gears of any Americans enjoying life..... Every little aspect of our lives, they want to figure out a way to stuff a lawyer, a union rep, a bureaucrat, a fee a tax a duty or a restriction, or a prohibition. It makes them laugh at us, and keeps us from LYNCHING THE FASCIST PIGS. But, such are democrats.....

DC Gun traitors

The politicians of DC hate the thought of DC citizens defending themselves, because the criminal would get killed. THEN who would be a politician? Traitors disarm victims so the murdering is easy. Idiots think DC needs a voting rep in congress. So- really, forget the votint rep, and forget the cheap scum thieving fascist traitor murder pig gun control laws.

Gun control is not illusionary due to congress...

Gun control is illusionary due to criminals. According to a recent article I read, the DC police confiscated over 2,400 handguns during arrests of criminals in the district during 2007 - after a complete handgun ban was put in place over 30 years ago. All the district's politicians fuss about gun control laws is a waste as long as the criminals don't obey the laws anyway, so let law-abiding citizens protect themselves, work hard on disarming and convicting criminals, and get your seat to vote in congress.

Hey Deborah, Since when do people have to have a "Need" to own a legal consumer product? No one "needs" a $5 coffee or a $400 pair of sunglasses but you can have 'em. There is no such thing as "assault weapons" it's an oxymoron made to mislead DUMB PEOPLE and it works.

I have to laugh, D.C is so worried about giving up gun control. For 30 some odd years of gun control the crime rate has risen to astronomical levels while the population has steadily decreased. In N.H. You can own any kind of gun you want, carry them just about anywhere you want and we have ONE THENTH The violent crime of D.C. GOD FORBID, the D.C. City Council look to the five lowest crime states in the Union and realized that criminals dont mess with armed citizens if they can avoid it.

Common sense?

What some people call common sense is just what they have had drummed into them so well that they don't bother to think about it. It was common sense during the Galleleo's time that an iron sphere would fall faster than a wooden one of the same size. It was common sense that the sun revolved around the earth. It was common sense that the sun was a heavenly sphere, so could not possibly have spots.

The anti-gunners constantly use this line of argument since no one likes to be accused of not having common sense and it eventually boils down to an argument of "it's common sense" vs. "no it's not".

Whenever someone uses an argument relying on "common sense" a giant alarm bell should go off and a voice call out "abandon reason, all who enter here."

To the Dummies of DC

Read the 23 amendment and stop being so retarded. You look as though you are nothing but a bunch of whiners who want to bypass the law of the land.

In the amendment it reinforces the fact that the "District" if it were to become a State that it would have no more representation than that of the least populous State in the union. I swear that the education system in your area must use those who cannot read and do not have the ability to reason when confronted with facts in evidence.
