Over? Did Someone Say the McCain-Obama Race Is Over?

So Im confused

Is the race over has obama truly won? Or is mccain still in the running?

If Obama does win, God help us. He is an arrogant jerk. He will tear down our country. He is a liar, a fake speaker and if you morans beleive what he says my faith in Americans is completely gone.I have lived a long time and have never seen such unAmericanism in my entire life.It would be a very sad day if Obama gets in. I just hope there are enough real Americans left to get a fantastic person, John Mccain in. His whole life has been devoted to our country.

Be an educated voter !

Obama is the only one that has stayed consistent in his views and optimism. He has been consistent in his tax stand point for helping the common people, the people that at will and are suffering the most from our current economic stand point.

Republicans have lost credibility, can’t keep their answers the same from one interview to the next.

It is not over yet in my point of view, I suspect the republicans have 1 last hoopla up their sleeve to try and rescue their cause.

Its people like us that need to get involved, let your voice be heard and encourage people to get out and vote. As a registered voter I am applaud of the number of people that still say "why vote my vote will not make a difference.

I agree that Obama will win, but to will be a race to the end. Republican or Democrat educate yourself and make an educated vote not based on your voter status.

It isn't over yet, but it should be.

Although I have been an Obama supporter for many months and so am biased, I can't for the life of me understand how McCain can even be close at this point. I honestly wonder what percentage of McCain/Palin supporters are actually just so opposed to Obama, for reasons just or not, that their vote will be cast more as an anti-Obama statement than as a pro-McCain statement.

I don't agree with Obama on certain things, but he seems much more focused and hopeful on what we need to do as a country going forward than does McCain who, to me, seems married to a way of thinking which worked 30 or 40 years ago, but is no longer valid. McCain seems stuck in the past and also appears to suffer from the same lack of interest in learning or understanding anything new as our current president. McCain strikes me as being more enamored in simply attaining the office than he is in actually using the position to benefit the country as a whole. We are in dire need of leadership based on vision, consideration and intellect and not on fear, gut reaction and bellicosity.

It is Not Over..

America is still looking carefully at both candidates at this point. However McSame will give one more surge. The final push may get nasty. He may over promise. The Bush might help unless they do not like McCain. America is in real trouble. We may not have a real winner.

Gore should have won and Kerry. What if these two men won?

I do think it's over for McCain to have any chance of winning. But I agree with the other comment that said it's an awful way for a war hero to end his political career. John McCain has changed. Even his body language at the debate showed him to be a doddering old man with early Alzheimer's Disease. The choice of Palin was a gamble, and it backfired. Always a bit of a grouch, he has turned into a grumpy old man. Meanwhile, Obama has maintained his dignity to the point that the mud slinging is just that, mud slinging. Yes, we are voting for a president here, but it is a package deal. With Obama, we have a smart and articulate lawyer for a first lady. She dresses well, but appropriately. It tells you something that the Obamas remained to shake hands with people at the debate. Cindy McCain snared McCain while he was still married. She's addicted to Vicodin. Every time I hear her talk, I think she's high. I'm a nurse and have been trained to pick up on this. She spends hundreds of thousands of dollars on outfits at a time when people's retirement funds have tanked. Not exactly first lady material. In "plain talk," she's a druggie and a slut. It's over everybody, and I'm very relieved.

But he has not seized it yet, and there is only one debate to come."

Obama in the White House

Obama/Biden: they are the ones for the White House. With Obama and Biden in the White House will make a great chaange for this country. A change for the good. Why would anyone want more of the same? This country needs to get back on track and become a great Nation that it once was. With Obama and Biden in the White House, I believe that it can be. Obama YES...McCain NO.

To Grandma

The comment about phony "patrotism first", really does an injustice for Americans that have stood up for what they believed what was right for our nation and the injustice around the world. I followed my father in serving the US military, because I believe America tries to do the right thing. The American way may be that we want a good life for our own, but it also represents standing up for injustice and helping others in countries that cannot help themselves. McCain may not have been right in all his past decisions, but he has proven that he stands for American ideals and what most Americans stand for. In his entire career, I fail to see any evidence where Obama has shown the character to lead on behalf of all Americans. Giving away more of our tax money, to causes he believes in, does not count as patrotism. Please help me understand what Obama has done to show he stands for America. From all the evidence I've seen, Obama's record points to more phony patrotism than Sen. Kerry.
