Sarah Palin

is utterly unqualified to be vice president

Palin-Couric interview

I hope Katie Couric feels good about herself. I bet she was hoping she would get Palin to slip-up or get rattled, and indeed it worked. I guess this will help Couric's standings amongst the media elite and give her better job security.

HOUSE OF CARDS

George"W"Bush said over the weekend "you see the whole financial system is like a pack of cards one goes they all start to go'The very same must be said about his government over the past 4 years which as well as John Mccains campaign is starting to fall apart,in his acceptance speech four years ago Mr Bush said "we can finish what we have started " He has,has he not,why are you all shocked about Sarah Palins selection as VP running mate she is of the same mould as the Bush people or REPUBLICANS those of us who watch with interest from overseas have seen the greatest country on the planet become a serious joke, the fact that you have it seems all or mostly all of you suddenly recognised that Mrs Palin and her kind talk nonsense is because of the focus of an upcoming election and a financial collapse, lets look back over 8 years of republican rule and the track record of decisions that got the USA to this point

1.Attacked the wrong country in IRAQ,there were no WMD ask Tony Blair it cost him his job.against the will of the international community, and the advice of your own intellegence services and the IAEA,and AL QUEDA only went there because you did.

2.Took your eye off the ball in AFGHANISTAN where AL QUEDA actually are.

3.The cost of the IRAQ war is without doubt a major factor in the current financial crises.

4.Deregulated the financial services industry, look at the results today

5.Focused so intently on IRAQ that no time or money was spent on solving the problems at home ie Healthcare,American industry, environment etc

The list of wrong decisions is endless,"AND YOU ARE SURPRISED THEY PICKED SARAH PALIN!!!!!" it is amazing to millions living in distant lands that only now do you start to recognise what we have seen for several years,i live in South Africa and the people here have just changed the president before his term ended due to his lack of performance and some political wrongdoings NOW is your chance to do the same and the world is praying that you do,judging by what i have read here and after watching the debate and John Mccains political shananigans leading up to it and the comments related to that tactic it looks as if common sense will prevail in the USA and after 8 years of going backwards the American people can look forward to some years of prosperity and the rebuilding of the good will of those of us in the outside world who still matter to the USA and look to you for leadership and not narrow minded lunacy.

Why is it that many Republican's consistent response to statements regarding Palin's lack of depth is to ignore it and give a response about Biden or Obama? Like a little kid caught stealing candy who is not willing to address their act: "Billy took one too!"

Palin

I live in Nigeria. The whole world is watching the American economic situation and politics. Please, please, Sarah dear, get out now before you make a complete fool of yourself (if you haven't already). You're living proof that beauty and good looks often isn't what one needs to get by. For the sake of us WOMEN all over the world please bow out while you still can, and please don't do the debate on Friday, okay?

Palin

It is obvious that she has gotten by in life without being required to provide any substance or depth. Like many of her demographic, she has smiled and laughed her way through and not been held to the same standard of competence to gain entry as others are. It is the only explanation for why she would subject herself to the scrutiny that goes along with being a relative unknown thrust onto the national stage. She assumed that her old MO would get her through. People are curious as to who this person is. As McCain said yesterday on "This Week" when asked about her comments regarding the Afghan / Paki border, and I am paraphrasing from memory, "she knows what to do, she knows my position". Don't worry about what she says, she knows what to do. John McCain has made a deal with the devil by adding Palin to garner ultra right wing support. Joe Binden has to be careful not to appear to be bullying her in their debate because she will surely give him every opening to expose her for what she is, light on education, ignorant of the issues, incurious, and using bluster and certitude to cover up ineptitude. I would not be surprised to see her fold on national TV.

Palin

This isn't funny any more.

Poor Sarah!

I have to hold my breath when she talked knowing that she is not qualified to be the VP. During the interview, her voice was cracking, and you could see that she tried very hard to find the right words or things to say. Poor Sarah, she should bow out sooner, or there will be more embrassment to come.

Palin

That is what happens when one chooses to pander to a small section of ones party, and when one sells one's soul to the devil in order to win an election. Good luck on that one Grampy McSame
