These so called Christians crack me up. They all like to think they are such good Christians, meanwhile they're richer than God himself. It's obscene to be this wealthy and not know how many houses you own, seriously, Jesus would be ashamed of you Republicans. Greed used to be one of the seven deadly sins, now it's a Republican virtue.

When your personal wealth is estimated at $100,000,000 (that's 8 zeroes folks) I doubt a $300,000 outfit is nothing she even thinks twice about.
There is no way that family can understand normal working people.
Understanding the people
Cindy's outrageous affront to those in America who are struggling to keep their home, put groceries on the table and pay the utility bills is obvious.
Her husband talks about the daily sacrifices he makes (and Cindy tells about his sacrifices as well) -- little did we know it is so SHE can spend $300,000 for a single appearance.
Outrageous.

Hmmm...did someone hit a nerve with Al Bambo??? Just for the record, accesories--INCLUDING JEWELRY--are part of an outfit. It is just another example of McCains being in the Washington elite.

But, the McCains know times are hard and people have it tough! If not, Cindy probably could've topped $500,000 for her outfit and not have had to wear rags! I feel so sorry for her. After all, they are considered "rich" by Johnny Boy's standards 20 times over! (And they accuse Obama of being an elitist??? Puh-lease!)
As usual, it's the old Republican "do as I say and not as I do" ploy.
Also, I agree with the comments about the money McCains have made by people purchasing and using their beer. The Repubs gave Kerry heck in 2004 because his wife was the heiress of Heinz Ketchup. However, I've never heard the blame for an accident or death being that someone had been eating ketchup! Again..."do as I say and not as I do!" I just want to see how the "Moral Majority" and "Religious Right" justify endorsing someone who has made their considerable fortune from one of the sinful things that they so adamantly oppose. Perhaps they have also embraced the "do as I say and not as I do" mind frame?!?
Ever hear of "trickle-down" economics? Yeah, Mrs. McCain may have spent a lot of money on her outfit. Did you ever think of the number of people who profit from her?
- How about the jeweller who has to pay his employees to run his business and who must pay rent to occupy a building he might not own?
- Or, how about the chauffeur who might drive Mrs. McCain to spend money at a designer shop while he waits outside, thinking about how lucky he is because he has a steady job with which to support himself or his family?
- Did you think about the salesperson in the shoe shop, who made a great sale with McCain's purchases, and can afford to treat her family out to dinner because of the nice commission check she made last week?
You close-minded liberals sure like to talk about how awful other people are, especially when they are good people who do good things for others. If you directly profitted from the McCains, then you probably wouldn't complain. But the best you can do to make a buck is to gripe about someone better off than you because you envy her vast wealth/status/good heart/whatever.
If you can handle thinking about it, you should thank Mrs. McCain because your paycheck sometimes depends on people like her. How does Mrs. McCain spending her private money on herself fit into the US News and World Report? Maybe you could write a piece on how the McCain, Clinton, Gates and other super wealthy American families spend their fortunes and help turn the economy, not stuff their cash under their mattresses. And then you could write a sidebar on how magazines such as yours profit from them (now there's a real page-turner).
Besides, couldn't you research the cost of her outfit yourself? You had to lift the quote from another rag, to get your facts? Don't they pay YOU enough as an editor to brainstorm for hard news?
Oh, and how much did you overpay for a piece of jewelry/cab ride/pair of shoes/new bow tie to wear to a big event you attended? If you knowingly overpaid for anything, and actually thought there was some benefit that trickled down through the economy, then maybe someone should write a piece on how much YOU spent on yourself.

Well...anyone would look fab compared to Ms Obama who looked like she bought that 80s dress at a thrift store (or made it from a tablecloth) and added some of grandma's pins around the neckline. She'll have plenty of time after November to audition for What Not To Wear.

How rude! Cindy shows up in a $300,000 outfit, while a great majority of the US cannot even afford their medicine, house payments, groceries, etc. I say it's a slap in the face to the American People in these difficult times. Shame on her.
