I Absolutely oppose this bill

This bill is the another patriot act, this time energy

this bill should be thrown out and rejected.

To Marc Russell

Thank you VERY much for your patriotic service to this great nation. Now you need to do some reading.

cap and trade

I fully support reduction in carbon emissions from Coal and Gas. I will pay double my energy cost if it will allow this polluted world to be habitable for my grandchildren. BTW global change is real. Just because you have a Ph.D. does not make someone correct. How many hired M.D.'s told us that tobacco does not hurt you??!!!

Opposition to Cap-And Trade

It is estimated that 2.5 – 3 million jobs will be lost if HR2454 (Cap-And-Trade) passes in the Senate. In an already crippling economy, even one more job lost is too much! Most controversies exist between opposing viewpoints; however, in the case of Cap and Trade Legislation, there is indecisiveness even between advocates of HR2454. A small group of supporters insists that energy prices will actually decrease because of this bill. Ironically, the majority of HR2454 advocates vehemently admit that energy cost will definitely increase but justify by saying that it is for a necessary “good.” What is the truth? Will prices increase or decrease? Advocates of this bill are unsure because this bill is not about science (global emissions) at all. Science has not settled on this issue. The Earth’s temperature has flat lined since 2001 despite an increase in C02 emission.

This bill will cost American jobs, increase energy cost and be the precursor of suicide for the American economy. Voice your concerns to your Senators at http://tinyurl.com/klfut8

CAP AND TAX

The cap and trade bill is an attempt to redistribute the wealth world wide and those doing the distribution will of course take a hefty cut off the top (and get richer than they already are).

Most people believe all the money from cap and trade will stay in this country to develop "Green Fuels". But that is not so, they are trying to make it a world wide system. Oviously, countries like Kenya, Uguanda and other underdeveloped countries have a non existant carbon footprint, therefore they will be able to sell their carbon shares to us. (Our money will go worldwide)

We will pay more for food, gas, electric, everything.

So, let's review,...... unemployment is high, taxes are increasing, the dollar is loosing value, businesses are going to have to pay higher taxes and NOW they want to save the planet. Even if global warming was a real threat (which it is not), we can't afford this. If they pass it,...... we're going to have to move to Kenya.

Please make sure your Senators know you know about this:

In 1988 James Hansen testified before congress to scare us about global warming. See his failed predictions on page 7 of this PDF from NASA’s website as published back then:

http://pubs.giss.nasa.gov/docs/1988/1988_Hansen_etal.pdf

All satellite data, including this from the University of Alabama at Huntsville proves that he was wrong. The predicted warming never occurred:

2008 was 0.3 degrees colder than 1988, not 0.7 degrees warmer, as Hanson predicted. Had he predicted what actually happened, no one would have seen the need to waste hundreds of billions of dollars. Now the politicians are threatening to burden the economy with their Cap-and-Trade scheme, which amounts to a massive tax increase on all conventional energy usage, to be paid for by you every time you buy something manufactured or transported using energy, which includes nearly everything buy, and your utility bill. It’s ironic how they claim to be protecting the children from doomsday, when they are really impoverishing your children’s future with this additional burden. Here is more background on this deliberate hoax from 1988:

We are being forced to pay for less reliable, uneconomical sources of energy while being told they are viable alternatives, which is not true. All of the so-called ‘alternative’ sources of energy, including wind and solar, equal less than one percent of mankind’s needs, and do not ever produce enough electricity to pay for themselves, without subsidies. Meanwhile, our far more economical access to hydrocarbon energy and nuclear energy is being throttled for no good reason.

Real scientists (not patronage-money grant seekers) never accepted this theory:

31,478 scientists signed a petition opposing the man-made global warming theory. Their reasoning is outlined in a peer reviewed journal article detailing the evidence that disproved the theory. Please follow this link:

http://www.petitionproject.org/

"The reason why Dr Mörner, formerly a Stockholm professor, is so certain that these claims about sea level rise are 100 per cent wrong is that they are all based on computer model predictions, whereas his findings are based on "going into the field to observe what is actually happening in the real world".

When running the International Commission on Sea Level Change, he launched a special project on the Maldives, whose leaders have for 20 years been calling for vast sums of international aid to stave off disaster. Six times he and his expert team visited the islands, to confirm that the sea has not risen for half a century. Before announcing his findings, he offered to show the inhabitants a film explaining why they had nothing to worry about. The government refused to let it be shown."

cap and trade

i am against any more spending by the government. no to cap and trade.

cap and trade

this bill comes at a time when it is getting had to make ends meet, and to add this tax burden on the backs of tax payers is just an irresponsible act. the cost of fuel at the pump is bad enough, but to add 50.00 to 90.00 dollars to our light bill that is hard enough to make each month will break the budget for millions of tax payers

cap and trade

So glad to see many paying attention to this another demo fiasco! I have never been afraid of my government til now, but I am 63 and it won't do to get old under this administration and the damage they can do. Get out to town meetings, tea parties or whatever grassroots efforts that present themselves and stand up for your freedom! Find ways to be active in 2010. It will not help much for us to preach to the choir, we need to find ways to make a difference.
