Isn't it always so funny how the republican conservatives always preach chritian values, fundamental this, fundamental that, when in all realty, they use the evengelican christians for there vote, they hate immigrants, are greedy and take kickbacks more than anyone else, are false, phony, gunslinging, christian, freedom lovers who are incorrect in there idielogy.

Would they also, get over the "dumbed down" everymans "joe" routine.

the arrogant, elusive secretive style of cheneyism.

that old style is exposed.

you aint some special, ego driven person.

its justr a fn job you d head,

go home and leave that style to die and wither away

a new paradignm is here

Social Security reprieve for two years for small businesses and their empoloyees.

Please, Newt, Social Security is already in trouble. It needs to be raised if anything! What happens in 2016 and 2037? All kinds of trouble. And they say that Medicare is going bankrupt soon! Please stand for helping Social Security to continue instead of lapsing payments for two years!

The Left and the 5 minute Era

I find it curious how big government types love to remark on how how anything prior to these last eight years is from another era and that any ideas borne of those eras could not address and solve today's modenr problems in today's modern society. That's in part because in the age of twitter and the 24/7 news cycle that most idealistic twenty-somethings think was always the case, many on the left have been programmed to accept the media's lack of institutional memory on anything... meantime, American Idol Season 3 is probably from another era in there minds...Now, by that logic, shouldn't all the FDR-inpsired gov't takeovers and the Carteresque hopes for foreign policy ber considered outmoded? Instead, the Obama thugocracy has been realized with the stiffing of the Chrysler bondholders (sure to thrill DaveBronx) and the firing of Walpin. Oh, BTW, tax revenues are down about 34% this... godd going team Obama. because of course generating more tax receipts to the gov't by cutting business means that the little guy who does not works and sits and complains is unaccetable.

Newt's agenda is old news

Jason, the founders of our country may have disliked government but they ended up creating a great one. We arguably have the best government in the world and we should be grateful. The alternative (think Zimbabwe, for example) is unthinkable in the US. That's my point. We could argue all day about the appropriate size and scope of the federal government, but I wasn't talking about that. I am actually in favor of small efficient government.

My comment was about the "government is the problem, not the solution" attitude of the Reagan/Gingrich era. I would rather have someone in power who has at least a little respect for the institution of government, and puts effort into making it work better and more efficiently for the American people.

This is pretty funny considering it's HIS party that brought the country to this point. If they had the answers when they were in power then why didn't they take action oh yeah they did, the only suggestion they ever have is lowering taxes which so far hasn't worked on iota especially since they liked to reduce taxes for the rich and the rest of us paid more for everything from rent to medical costs. They're a bunch of loser and sore losers at that, they've done nothing but criticize Obama and they're using the same old mantras they always used and suggesting policies that have always failed. Thank God that 2/3 of the nation woke up and smelled their garbage. Beside the GOPs financial policies were more like economic terrorism than resolutions. What took them 8 years to screw up is going to take a lot longer than 6 months to undo, until then adios a los idiotas.

Newt not the man

Republicans should not follow Gingrich down the block. For all his obvious smarts, he feels stale for the modern era.

The party desperately needs fresh faces, voices and ideas.

Deluded Republicans

Typical BS, Obama is "allready a failure" becuase he has not fixed in six months the mess that resulted from 8 years of Republican incompetence. Right now people like this writer are hoping we fail because thats the only chance the GOP has of coming back into power. Their party is more importent thaen the country obviously.

Let the swindling begin!

No capital gains tax, cut the corporate tax by two thirds and no estate tax. My the best traders win and tax only the sweat of the little people forever! Amen. Amen. So be it in Newt's house of his newfound (post-adultery) religion.

Have you listeners to this guy gone mad, or just mean and nasty? Do any of you have the slightest idea that capital investments may create jobs but capital gains (on things sold) DO NOT?

Do you have any idea that you're merely inviting Wall Street to become more of a casino than it already is?
