More than 100,000 collegebound veterans will begin receiving improved financial aid this week through the recently expanded GI Bill, the Chronicle of Higher Education reports. Signed into law last year by President George W. Bush, the revamped GI Bill covers the full cost of attending an in-state public college or university for veterans of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, according to this U.S. News article. Veterans can also apply some portion of the bill's benefits to tuition at an out-of-state private school.

10 YRS USE OR LOSE

I COULD NOT USE MY G.I. BENNIES FOR SCHOOL DUE TO FAMILY OBLIGATIONS. I WOULD LIKE TO GO TO SCHOOL BUT MY TENS YRS ARE UP. THIS BENNIE SHOULD BE EXTENDED INDEF. FOR THE RETIRED MILITARY SO IT CAN BE USED WHEN WE ARE ABLE.
