For all the practicing Catholics...how many of you practice birth control, how many of you are divorced or married to someone who was married before? Life is not black or white. I am conservative on many issues, but there may be a time in a persons life when abortion may be necessary. This is not a decision taken lightly by most women. This is an issue that is personal. The church does not take care of a family, or worry about how it survives. There is a strength for many people in religion, but religion is not helpful when it is a religion of fear. The Catholic Church needs to be supportive of life, not judgmental toward individuals decisions. That is what makes religion distructive.

i think that catholics who donate to notre dame should find some other charity to donate to, who is in keeping with the doctrine of the faith,and the teachings of the magesterium of the catholic church, especially on abortion. thank you.

I was raised a Catholic and I for one left the religion for one reason the hypocrisy. I believe in the lord and the word of the lord nowhere in the bible does it say that god opposes homosexuality; people believe what they want to believe like the president is muslim or born out of this country (neither of which are true) Stop listening and follow your heart He is a good man and is a good president. this country fell into a pit the day former (thank god) President Bush lied to us and told us that Saddam Hussein was in Al qaeda's pocket (a lie) the day we waterboarded our 1st prisoner and the day the 1st person that knew he couldn't afford a hm bought one anyways with lies. The hypocrisy is amazing wake up and look around you the evil is all around you and it's not your president.
