Newsmaker of the Year: Tom Friedman
Proving the credibility of this contest, Tom Friedman getting pied in the face at Brown was 57 percentage points more awesome than the election of the first black president of the United States. And here I thought this category was a gimme. Clearly, I underestimated the reaction people had to Tom Friedman.
