Black Colleges Well Represented at Inaugural Parade
One last note about the Obama inauguration: While the whiz-bang parade included big state university marching bands (such as Ohio State and the University of Tennessee), historically black colleges and universities were particularly well represented on Tuesday. Some schools already are planning return performances—Florida A&M played at both President Clinton's inauguration parades, and Grambling State University was at inaugural events for Presidents Carter, Clinton, and George W. Bush. Howard University's marching band is a first-timer to the event (kind of odd, since the event always happens in its city), and the bands from the University of Arkansas-Pine Bluff, Delaware State University, and Hampton University were also selected.

Did you see the Hampton University Marching Force Band? The real "HU" set the STANDARD! Even President Obama commented,"that's Hampton University".They were GREAT! Since the performance they have been invited to the Macy's Day parade. Hampton University is the STANDARD of academic excellence! No the real facts.
