Ball State's Pursuit for More International Students
If all goes according to its strategic plan, Ball State University will have a population that is 5 percent international students by 2012, the Daily News reports. This is big talkin' for a school whose current makeup is only 1.25 percent international (and, I should mention, is in Muncie, Ind.).
Progress, however, is not impossible: The college has already more than doubled its international enrollment for next fall, from 250 to 575 students, thanks to more aggressive recruiting tactics overseas and the expansion of partner universities abroad.
