Six day school week

What the hell is going on here?Kids are only kids for a short time .Let them enjoy just being kids for a while .Life has enough druggery in it.There is no joy in a life devoted just to work and study. We have forgotten how to live. There is more to life than becoming an automaton.Culture and leisure are integral parts of a complete life and just as essential.Don't inculcate children with the idea that production and money are the only reasons to live.

Six day school week

The problem here which is not addressed in the article is that when Fine Arts classes are divided up, there is no time left in the class once you set up, to actually begin working on your projects. Fine Art classes have studio time built into them so that you can work under the guidance of your instructor. However, if classes are only an hour or so long on a given day, no work can be done in class and the student cannot obtain any guidance to improve. Plus, as a student who works full time and takes evening classes, I fear that I may never be able to graduate now. Kean's night classes start at 5pm. I work 9-5. Therefore on the days I have school, I need to get permission to leave early. I highly doubt I am going to be able to get permission to leave early every single day. It's really frustrating when the people who make the big decisions have no sense as to what the outcome will bring.
