Jimmy Ord, the Homosexual Mormon Apostate

The title speaks for itself.

what is going on?

Now for example if a similar article was writen about Christianity, no one would probably give it a second thought... Think about that... I would wish there was equal treatment for all, not the fanatical defence of the gay "propganda", but and equal approach to all...

Free Exchange of Ideas

I'm all for allowing the conservative voice to be raised, especially on a college campus.

See Jack Kennedy once said, "Never be afraid of an idea" If we are intelligent and educated then good ideas will rise to the top. It may take a while, and it may be a struggle but we shall overcome. And the conservatives will feel all the more remorse for their persecution of us. In fact the harder the persecution, the more lasting the shame for its perpetration.

Conservatives LOVE the slippery slope idea. They love it. That is fine. In a free exchange of ideas let them make the argument.

BUT PLEASE REFRAIN FROM DEHUMANISING ME OR ANYONE ELSE In making your slippery slope arugument. Dehumanisation takes it a bit too far. When you do that. You show your TRUE COLOURS. One word. . . HITLER!

It took him years to dehumanise Gays and Jews enough in the public mind such that he could institute the "final solution."

You as a conservative may have your opinion and may spread it. BUT, ME AS A CITIZEN, A VETERAN, A LAWYER, AN ACTIVIST, AN EDUCATED MAN, A GUN TOTING, FLAG WAVING, AMERICAN, WILL NOT ROLL OVER AND ALLOW YOUR BIGGOTRY TO INTERRUPT MY LIBERTY.

ALL THE NAMES YOU CAN THINK TO CALL ME WILL ONLY HARM YOUR SOUL.

I and my compadres will press forward and will educate, campiagn, march, sue, and protest, and if needs be RISE UP.

So Bring It on.

free speech

LIES are not covered by the first ammendment

Good for the Protestors

How does this editorial comparing homosexuality to bestiality make gay students feel welcome at U of Wash? If I was a student at that university I would perhaps feel apprehensive about my fellow students and professors. Openly gay students have a hard enough time in school without this sh%t. The university administration needs tp publically distance itself from these bigoted remarks and reassure gay students they are welcome to get an education and will not be harassed by straight simpletons.

homosexuality

Its the worst form of sin, a human being can do !

Washington Intolerance

Are these kids really complaining that legalizing homosexuality marriage is more legitimate than polygamy marriage? If so, I'd be interested in hearing their reasoning for this discrimination. Seems the University has failed these students in teaching them about diversity and tolerance.

Free speech clearly only applies to Liberals

The Liberals want free speech for themselves and at the same time want to stifle the speech of Conservatives.

Pornography is allowed because of "free speech". Christmas is not allowed because of "Separation of Church and State". Religious people can't support or donate to Proposition 8 in California but it is ok for Rich White Gays to support any agenda that they please and donate millions.

It is also ok for Hollywood, who is the epitome of family values, to promote whatever they want.

61% of the vote

*"In the same state that elected Obama with 61% of the vote, 52.3% ratified a constitutional amendment banning gay marriage."* Steve, I want to remind you that 61% for Obama is approx a 28% higher percentage of the vote than George Bush recieved in 2000, which was a MINORITY of the voters...the majority went to Al Gore. In other words, Obama was far more popular with the voters than George Bush ever was, and that was when running against a guy almost everybody liked (John McCain) while Bush ran against somebody about whom even his supporters were luke warm (Gore).

To say that the California voters ratified an amendment is disingenuous. What they did, was take an opinion poll. But as this is a republic in which mob rule (the taking away of equality from a minority by a majority vote) is not tolerated, the Republican-leaning California Supreme Court will rightly not allow marriage discrimination to stand, just as they didn't 7 months ago. By the way, people with more than a High School education were against Prop 8 60% to 30%, while among relatively uneducated people Prop 8 was favored. What does that tell you? The California Supreme Court, whose education of not only the law, but the issue, was greater than almost any voter, were against marriage discrimination 57% to 43%. And as I said, that was a right-leaning court.

Interracial marriage

I'm just curious what the reaction would have been if the article had been about interracial marriage?

The margin by which proposition 8 won was incredibly small - and time has shown us that attitudes in California have slowly been changing towards supporting gay marriage - the fight in California and in all other states is far from over - regardless of what has happened to date!
