Harvard Announces Hiring Freeze

tenure
Oh yes, let's eliminate tenure and have all our college professors be adjunct wage-slaves who have zero job security and can barely feed themselves. Great! I'm sure people under that kind of pressure make the very best teachers.
Tuition Policy
We have a new First Family both of whom are Harvard graduates, and neither came from money, particularly Mrs. Obama. Let's get real here, social diversity is essential not only because it's fair, but for our national security, it offers tremendous opportunity as an example of democracy. The days of well to do whites owning the keys to the kingdom are nearly gone. Get used to it. I have.
Tuition Policy
Actually, they DON'T provide free education to those earning less than $60k. They only waive the EFC (Expected Family Contribution) of those students. The students will still have to take out student loans, etc. to pay for their education.
Unfair Tuition Policy
The problem with Harvard is that they provide free education to those earning less than $60K. I know if two students accepted to Harvard who opted for another program believing this is unfair and would not like to see others (many times less qualified) students paying nothing. Harvard is losing the smartest of the middle class and that is impacting them from not attracting many of the caliber students they used to matriculate and lowering their financail viability. They should get back to their roots of providing education and not social diversity.
budget problems
Sir
Get rid of the tenure program and thus allowing budget flexibility for CRITICAL
staff positions. I hope among the critical's, are several slots for your ETHICS 101 course.
