Delaware Freshman Dies After Party
A University of Delaware freshman died early Saturday morning from what police suspect was alcohol poisoning at a party, the News Journal reports. Brett Griffin, 18, was unconscious when police arrived just before 3 a.m. and later died at a nearby hospital. The house that had hosted the party was home to several members of the Sigma Alpha Mu fraternity, which authorities say Griffin—a varsity wrestler at South Brunswick High School in New Jersey—was pledging.
An autopsy was conducted Sunday, but an official cause of death has not been announced.
