Is there any way people can stop yelling "racist" whenever a black person is critisized? And making a joke if it's a white person. Racism is when someone is critized because he is black, not because a white person disagrees with his/her stance on any subject, and visea versa. If we can't disagree with a person of another race, we have lost our freedom of speach.

Clearly, those that argue that the Palin depiction is tantamount to the Obama depiction and are pursuing a "self victimizing" double standard cry are neglecting the obvious cultural and historical difference in the impetus to hang an individual with African descent. Even the legal institution differentiates between hate crimes and non-hate crimes. Simply, hate crimes require a level of societal harm that damages the very fabric of a free society as it challenges the tolerance that we champion. I'd recommend you end self victimization efforts as there is an obvious cultural advantage even today for those of non minority descent.

Hey Sojoana of NJ; Obama is a far Left partisan. Try doing some research on his actual voting record in the IL State Senate & U.S. Senate. Obama is NOT a uniter, he's a radical Left-Wing divider. He has nearly no record of bi-partisanship, unlike McCain who has worked across party lines. The only thing Obama has united is the radical Left. In fact, Obama has ran probably the most dirty, divisive Presidential campaign in history - (not mention the most expensive. What ever happened to his public financing promise he broke? Oh, and yet the far Left attacks Palin over the cost of her wardrobe)? Obama & his conies at the DailyKos, MSNBC, Washington Post, NY Times, LA Times, and Democratic Party have already "lynched" Sara Palin 10 fold, with their degrading personal attacks, smears, and lies.
Obama; his background in the corrupt, underhanded, far Left Chicago Democratic political machine of Mayor Daley is reason enough not to trust him. His associations with radical Marxist terrorist William Ayers is not be to overlooked. His association with the racists Rev. Wright is not to be overlooked. His association with the convicted felon / Leftist fund raiser Tony Rezko is not to be overlooked. Obama & ACORN, nice to have a group of "community organizers" committing voter registration fraud on your behalf. And lastly Obama pals around with the anti-semitic / PLO-loving Rashid Khalidi. And you, Sojoana of NJ, seem to foolishly believe that Obama is a uniter. Obama is a good actor / far Left politician with some very unscrupulous personal associations. Is this really who we want as Commander in Chief of our country? Perhaps Obama should run for President of Venezuela, or Iran, or North Korea, or Russia.
Oh yeah, and I'm not too thrilled about this country regressing back into a giant welfare state under Obama. Exactly how is Obama going to pay for his big Socialist federal government?
And I'm not thrilled, at all, about having my 1st & 2nd Amendment rights decimated by the combined efforts of a far Left Obama / Biden / Pelosi / Reid Administration.

I don't believe people have the AUDACITY to compare a effigy of Sarah Palin to this. Did I miss the part of history (recent history I might add) where white women were lynched in the south? I must have if you are actually comparing the two and whining about a double standard. Ironically it was usually white women crying "Rape" that got INNOCENT black men lynched in the first damn place! Read a history book Kentuckians and maybe then it will make sense to you why this is so offensive and wrong.

White people were not hung from trees in this country for over 400 years!!!!!!!!!!!!! So what, Sarah Palins' was not taken down, she don't have to remember a lot of her dead family members when she sees or hears about it!
Why do Republicans keep whining?
Honestly, I come from a Republican family, but McCain doesn't have my vote because he hasn't outlined what he will do to fix this country. His script is littereed with disparaging comments and half-truths about Obama as a person and his "lack of experience". This whole time he should have concentrated on telling the country about himself and his own expereinces, instead he continues to talk about Obama. The Republicans are shining a bright light on the Democrats and they aren't cracking. McCain keeps poking and prodding and Obama is keeping his cool. In fact, he's doing more than keeping his cool; he's telling the truth, so he has nothing to fear!
Remember: There's no such thing as bad press!
Cry me a river, Personally as a republican I’m sickened that we don’t stand up for ourselves against all the left wing media and having to treat NObama with these little kids gloves. THE MAN has never accomplished anything accept to receive the democratic nomination. I fought for democracy in foreign lands and I sure as hell will do it for my own country if we move any closer to socialism.
