Hard Liquor Ban Poorly Received at Providence

Students at Providence College are peeved at the school for (1) changing the alcohol policies on campus and (2) not doing a very good job of advertising the changes, the Cowl reports.

University administrators amended the student code of conduct to ban hard liquor on campus—for students both over and under 21. It also banned the consumption of alcohol in residence halls for over-21 students in the presence of underagers.

Students complained that while they vaguely knew that changes had been made, the university did not make the new student handbook particularly accessible and that the student forums and posting of fliers were inadequate notice of the adjustments.
