Chaos at Columbia

Why is it that college students seem to always feel that some bureaucrat is better qualified to spend their money than they are? I guess they don't realize that someday they will be responsible for paying for the Welfare State that the left wing of the Democratic Party seems to so desparately desire. Of course, I can recall thinking pretty much the same way 45 years ago. Today, I regret the fact that I helped spawn the "Great Society" and the culture of dependence that it created. Generations of Welfare Moms, rightly blame the system for their condition. Even college students, dependant on their parents and their student loans should understand that with "rights" come "responsibilities".
