Study Says Marijuana Is Now More Potent

MORE SCARE TACTICS!
No one in history has ever died from a pot overdose. Is it really something we need to arrest someone every 38 seconds for? More potent pot gets less smoke in your lungs. Anyone that knows anything about pot can easily debunk ALL the Government’s claims about the harms. Where are all the sick pot smokers? Where are all the people with tiny little brains that have shrunk from smoking pot? Where is the gateway that no more pot smokers travel through than any other group of the general population? Stand up and demand the government regulate pot so it will be less available to kids like tobacco and alcohol. It’s been smoked for thousands of years and no one has a problem with it except those that make money from it being prohibited. It’s time to join together and remove the politicians that are waging war on peaceful citizens.

LEGALIZE POT NOW!
It's time to remove ALL the politicians that promote prohibition.
How many more lives have to be needlessly devastated or lost?
PROHIBITED DRUGS ARE WAY EASIER FOR KIDS TO GET THAN REGULATED DRUGS!
PROHIBITION never works it just CAUSES CRIME & VIOLENCE.
The USA spends $69 billion a year on the drug war, builds 900 new prison beds and hires 150 more correction officers every two weeks, arrests someone on a drug charge every 17 seconds, jails more people than any nation and has killed over 100,000 citizens in the drug war.
In 1914 when there were NO PROHIBITED DRUGS 1.3% of our population was addicted to drugs, TODAY 1.3% of our population is STILL ADDICTED TO DRUGS BUT THERE’S WAY MORE CRIME AND VIOLENCE BECAUSE OF THE HUGE PROFITS PROHIBITION GENERATES. DRUGS TODAY ARE MORE POTENT, MORE READILY AVAILABLE AND LESS EXPENSIVE THAN THEY WERE IN THE EARLY 70’S WHEN RICHARD NIXON STARTED THE WAR ON DRUGS.
There’s only been one drug success story in history, tobacco, BY FAR THE MOST DEADLY and one of the MOST ADDICTIVE drugs. Almost half the users quit because of REGULATION, ACCURATE INFORMATION AND MEDICAL TREATMENT. No one went to jail and no one got killed.
DEMAND your Constitutional rights. The right; to freedom of religion, free speech, a free press, to keep and bear arms, to be secure in your person, house, papers and effects against unreasonable search and seizure, to life, liberty and property, to be protected from having your property taken by the government without due process of law and without just compensation, to confront the witnesses against you, to be protected from excessive bail, excessive fines, cruel and unusual punishment, to vote and many others have been denied to millions of Americans in the name of the drug war.

Show me some facts
From what I can tell, THC from marijuana is much safer then alcohol. When will any of these government agencies come out with some information to back up the laws in place today?
marijuana hypocrisy
It is a well known fact that marijuana is less dangerous the alcohol.(less life ruining as well). I would like to see a major news agency do a side by side comparison of the two, and then try to explain why one a legal, and the other is not.
Legalize, Regulate, Do Science!
Too bad Cannabis isn't legally regulated. If it were, we'd have control over its potency and concrete science behind our understanding of the significance of the change in THC content.
The answer: Legalize and regulate.
Just image back when Alcohol was prohibited... a change in potency would be the least of your concerns... Contamination in moon-shine can KILL!
And how can we trust a "scientific study" whose mission is so clearly and openly biased against Cannabis and its users?
prohibition
"Prohibition cannot be enforced for the simple reason that the majority of American people do not want it enforced and are resisting its enforcement. That being so, the orderly thing to do under our form of government is to abolish a law which cannot be enforced, a law which the people of the country do not want enforced."
Mayor Fiorello LaGuardia
legalize it
the people agree - No matter how the Feds spin it - Legalize marijuana.
Marijuana should be legal
As THC is a non-toxic chemical it is really just the marijuana buds itself that are toxic. I agree with what jason said about how if we just stick to low doses of High potency weed, then it will be less toxic then smoking high quantities of swag thus making it safer. Anyhow, there is a problem with people curing there marijuana wrong producing harmful mold such as Aspergillus. This is a problem and It would be eliminated if it was all legal, then it would be always professionally grown, cured, and packaged.
And I wouldn't mind my marijuana being taxed if it was legal, I am sure people agree with me on this. If the US would just make marijuana legal it would be a very lucrative decision for them for all the tax dollars they are missing out on for a very outdated law. Of coarse the Conservatives will freak out because of all of the propaganda this country has been feeding them they deem true of how marijuana is a gateway drug etc.
People are very closed minded and want to shelter there kids or themselves, they associate marijuana with negative stereo-types that will make legalization a long struggle for the us. I believe the legalization of Marijuana will have positive aspects for the people and the government alike.
Not a surprise
The main reason of potency increase is the prohibition of the product. Remember when alcohol was prohibited, nobody was producing beer or cidder, but whisky.
Since consumers and dealers are prosecuted on the basis of the weight, it is absolutely not a surprise that the producers try to increase the potency. The Governement is directly responsible of this situation.
