Nationwide, Students Hold 'Lie-Ins'

So I've already written about the effects of the Virginia Tech shooting on campuses nationwide, but what exactly did students across the country do on the one-year anniversary?
For the most part, schools quietly recognized the day. Students at the University of Virginia, the University of Georgia, University of Southern California, George Washington University, and Princeton held small candlelight vigils, while many more schools—such as the University of Pennsylvania, Dartmouth, and North Carolina State—observed a moment of silence late Wednesday morning.
The Virginia Tech campus was not the only place where "lie-ins" stirred a bit of controversy. While the Hokie event remained somewhat apolitical, similar events around the country wore their intentions more prominently. Most "lie-ins" were in fact protests of easy gun access and lasted three minutes long—the amount of time it takes to purchase a gun in the United States. Students from Wisconsin, the University of Massachusetts, the University of North Carolina, and all over Ohio held their own demonstrations.
Protesters also commandeered a section of Times Square in New York to lie down, while activists did the same on the steps of the Supreme Court in Washington, D.C.—an event that attracted the likes of the Rev. Jesse Jackson. "The greatest tragedy is not learning from the tragedy that occurred one year ago today," he said.

The problems with the *lies* brought *in* by Protesteasyguns are many:
-None of the policies that they want have anything to do with Virginia Tech any more, yet they are still dishonoring the victims by taking advantage of their deaths.
-None of the policies they want have ever/currently do/will ever reduce crime. They are just more red tape piled on.
-They are now nothing more than another part of the Brady Campaign. Many of their recent lies (or do I mean lie ins?) across the country were organized by the Brady Campaign, a group with such a poor reputation that they've had to change their name twice already since their creation in order to gain back some of the credibility that they lose so quickly.

What do you say about people who participate in things like his? They are out their flaunting the fact that they are a helpless gunman-buffet and that they want to forcibly extend their victim-mentality to everyone else through unconstitutional gun-control laws.
Fortunately, I think a lot of people are wising up and realizing that gun-control's purpose is to make people week and easier to oppress...be it by a deranged gunman or a tyrannical government.
Not only should the rest of the nation adopt "Vermont Carry" (No regulations/permits on carrying a weapon openly or concealed), but we should be ridding ourselves of dangerous laws such as the NICS(National Instant Check Systme), 4473 forms, and bans.
Sincerely,
Brandon Stone
Money speaks louder than any protests.
We need to start investigating the legislators who have been bought and paid for by a private industry that is killing people.
Put the gun control to one side, and start to insist our state attorneys and justice departments look at the dollar flow. They are ignoring the mounting deaths for a good reason, and we know what that is.
