Former Student Kills Five at Northern Illinois, then Commits Suicide

This is indicative of a larger societal problem. College and high schools should lessen the amount of workload placed on students and provide greater access to (and promotion of) psychiatric counseling. If any of you are in college or have been in the last ten years, then you know that the stress of school can be ridiculously overwhelming. American society doesn't allow the concept of "too much work" to be seriously considered. We should take these events to heart and seek a positive solution to this very real problem.
non-violence
cpv of TX said a horrible thing. No matter what happens, suicide is definitely not the answer. On one hand, you should definitely not harm others just out of frustration for your own life, but killing or hurting yourself is also a terrible thing to do. Violence will never solve problems. I guess what I'm trying to say is, yes, it's a given that you should definitely not harm much less kill others for problems in your own life, but neither should you take harmful action towards yourself in these cases. Cases such as anorexia, bulimia, suicide, and cutting wrists is a consequence of taking frustration out through physical means and no one, including cpv of TX should endorse such actions.
