Yale to Harvard: We’ve Got Money to Give Away, Too!

As earlier pledged, Yale University made its announcement this week that it will dip $1.15 billion deep into its endowment to boost financial aid, increase research, and expand its free online resources. Yale's endowment is the second largest in the nation (after Harvard's), and the school's president (and Paper Trail) promise more details to come.
