Michigan State's Dirty-Ridin' Taxi Vans
It's like an episode of Taxi but without the madcap comedy and Tony Danza's mullet. Trouble is brewing within Michigan State's taxi van industry, as veteran Big Daddy Taxi and upstart Shaggin' Wagon argue over customers and better business practices, the State News reports. Two Shaggin' Wagon founders, who are former employees of Big Daddy, claim the now rival service treated its employees poorly and also did nothing to stop its drivers from smoking pot with customers.
Big Daddy's owner defends himself, saying Shaggin' Wagon is just launching a smear campaign to drum up business. He also compares himself to a big monkey and the president. "I started out as one guy, and I've become an 800-pound gorilla," he said. "You know who I honestly feel like? I feel like George W. Bush."
All this in the name of driving drunk students home. —Alison Go
