Hazing Leads to Legal Trouble for College Brass

Two Rider University administrators were indicted last week on charges of aggravated hazing after a student died in March of alcohol poisoning sustained at a fraternity party. A lawyer for the student's family says the school did not adequately supervise fraternity houses, holding them to looser standards than other residence halls, the Trenton Times reports. Three other students have been indicted, but the charges are unprecedented for university administrators, neither of whom was present at the party yet could face up to 18 months in prison and a $10,000 fine if convicted.
