Virginia Tech Memorial Fund Distributes Money to Victims' Families

The Hokie Spirit Memorial fund will be distributing $7.6 million to the families of victims from the April 16 massacre at Virginia Tech, the Collegiate Times reports. The fund will pay $180,000 to families of those who died; $90,000 to victims hospitalized for 10 days and nights or more; $40,000 for students hospitalized for three to nine days; and $10,000 or waived tuition and fees for those who were in the hospital fewer than three days or in certain rooms in Norris Hall during the massacre. —Alison Go
