*Research shows that strong NCAA football and basketball programs correlate with student athlete academic success, the Daily Iowan reports. Before all you sports-crazy schools get too excited, I have two words for you: unlimited resources. And nine more words: Maurice Clarett, 2006 Auburn football, and 1990s Minnesota basketball.

*Attendance at Brigham Young University sewing classes is bursting at the (ugh) seams, the BYU NewsNet writes. Bad puns came back in fashion around the same time as high school home-ec classes.—Alison Go
