At Florida: Male or Christian, but Not Both
Beta Upsilon Chi, an all-male Christian fraternity, has filed suit against the University of Florida because the group has been denied approval as a registered student organization, the Gainesville Sun reports.
The rock: The school says the group (like most other fraternities) cannot be listed as a student organization because it accepts only men, violating the school's gender nondiscrimination policies. The hard place: Beta Upsilon Chi also cannot join the Interfraternity Council because its Christian-only status violates the council's religious nondiscrimination policy. —Alison Go
