Dartmouth Rhetoric: From Sexism to Sarcasm to Scorn

November 02, 2007 04:39 PM ET | Alison Go | Permanent Link | Print

The mysterious group Daughters of Dartmouth has been waging war against sexism via 8 ½-by-11 paper, the Dartmouth reports. Mocking any form of female-unfriendly behavior, the fliers have called out—with the use of some sloppy sarcasm—two fraternities, male athletic teams, and even individuals for their antifeminist tendencies.

The reaction to the anonymous campaign has been mixed, and several fliers have elicited equally anonymous scorn. One of the more tame examples includes a classy description of the Daughters of Dartmouth: "Not getting any since 1973."
