Alabama's Pseudo-Historic Homecoming Court
In a "historically rare event," two black female students have been voted onto the University of Alabama's homecoming court, the Crimson White reports. The two women hope that their presence will pave the way for Alabama to crown its second-ever black homecoming queen. One important roadblock to securing a court position, besides the school's infamous Machine: "It was hard thinking of a slogan that rhymed with my first and last names," said candidate Sophia Francillon.

Sadness
I have live in Tuscaloosa the majority of my life. Both of my parents are University of Alabama Alumni and i am a current student. It saddens me that things are the way they are here in the south. A lot of progress has been made, but we are only a 4th of the way there.
