Cornell Loves Its Booze-Selling Grandma

Grandma, the owner of a convenience store at Cornell University, is herself a campus landmark. With more than 35 years under her belt as a purveyor of liquid goods, she has established herself among students and often keeps in touch with her well-traveled comrades, the Cornell Daily Sun writes. But all the good times don't come without consequences: Grandma has twice been reprimanded for selling alcohol to minors, according to her conversation with the reporter.

Nearing the end of her retail career, Grandma did offer a nugget of sage advice to all her adopted Cornell children: "Watch out for 'townies'—they're bad." So wise. So wise. —Alison Go
