*Iowa State faculty spend less than half their time teaching, the Iowa State Daily writes. There is no consensus whether this is a good thing or not.

*Speaking of no consensus, Florida State's FS View investigates whether studying in bed is in fact worse for grades than studying at a desk. Study guides say it is, but research shows little difference. Paper Trail thinks if you're studying at all, you're already 10 steps ahead of the game.

*Schools have seen increasing interest in Arabic since the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, Penn State's Daily Collegian reports. —Alison Go
