The Only Time Fraternities Care About City Council
Nothing unites college kids and city officials more than discussion over alcohol-related legislation. Nearly 100 University of Alabama students, mostly fraternity members, went to the Tuscaloosa City Council chamber to ensure their collegiate "good times," the Crimson White reports. The activists support the student government suggestion of 3 a.m. closing times on Thursday and Friday nights.
Currently, bars close at 2 a.m. every night but Friday night, when there is no set closing time. —Alison Go
