Society for Bulimia Promoted in College Bookstore Bathroom Stall

December 04, 2006 11:56 AM ET | Permanent Link

A Colgate University columnist is upset after reading a note in a bookstore bathroom stall that seems to advocate eating disorders. "Thin/Is Beauty/Why do we let people tell us/what we do is wrong/Anorexia and Bulimia are lifestyle/Choices/And we have the/Freedom to choose/C.A.E.D.U./Colgate Advocates of Eating Disorders Unite," the note read. "I almost vomited right then and there," says the columnist--before clarifying: "not because I was exercising my right to choose bulimia."
