we need school year round we will get better jobs and help pay for the schools funndings.

year round school ya that will rock!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

we need year round school. We nees to understand ya mabey it will be expensive but when kids have better jobs they will have more money people need to suck it up for a while we need year round school

year round school got to go

If year round ed. goes through yea we will have dropouts and what not but our economy will also take a HUUUUUGE dip to pay for renovations and AC. Who wants another depression? well? anybody?hmm hmmm

no to year round schooling

In my opinion I work my butt off at school so I am more than ready for that long summer break.I am in 4H so i take a market hog to fair, and that takes up A LOT of my time. I am never bored over the summer, it's just as packed. If they would make year round schooling mandatory I would have a huge overload. Kids are going to forget what they learned no matter the length of time they are on break for. Especially kids that are not interested in school, makeing them stay longer will not make them enjoy it more. Also, my family loves taking vacations over the summer, year round schooling would ruin that. Anyways schools that are on year round schooling haven't shown improvement in test scores, so what proof says that year round schooling is truly beneficial and not just a waste of time? Schools that do have the year round schedule will have to go over 4 reviews throughout the year instead of just one after summer break. Summer programs (4H camp, church camp, etc.) would suffer from year round scheduling. Some students even have summer jobs, and year round schooling would make that virtually impossible. As well there are some older schools that do not have air conditioners, so that would be nasty. I say that summer break was made for children that had to work for harvest, so why break tradition even though technology has advanced?

dont extend school

if we extend school kids will drop out

year round schools

I am currently a freshman at a [rivate school in Illinois. I think that year round school would be awesome. it would boost our education and make it easier to compete with these other countries. we would have more of a chance to take different classes IF we didn't have a whole bunch of short breaks throughout the year. personally, i think that it is ridiculous. i want to be able to get the best education possible and take as many classes as i can without going into overload. i love the idea of school year round minus the frequent breaks.

year-school would be great

I feel that year round school would be great for the terachers and the student. The teacher will have time to prepare their lesson in a timely matter spend more time on subjects that may be a struggle to one student and easy for another. It helps the teacher to keep a constant salary and great organization skills. I'm a native of Michigan and can only pray the day we can vote on year-round school.

Extended school year

I am a teacher in Ohio, and I agree that we do spend a lot of time at the beginning of the year reviewing concepts children have forgotten and need before we can move on to new information. This is a powerful argument for year-round school. The problem is paying for year-round schools. Who is paying for the renovations to our buildings which do not have air conditioning? There is no way that students or teachers could work in our hot classrooms during the summer. Who is paying for the increase in salaries for teacher and support staff if we are going beyond our contracted 180 days? Certainly not already-hurting school districts which are struggling to pass even renewal levies in this crippled economy! So who is footing the bill?

year round schools.

Most stupidest....... try most stupid. Just for the record you dont need to add and in front of every statement, you just sound unintelligent. This may seem crazy to you but some students work at their summer jobs not so they can buy cd's. Many students work so that they can pay for their college education and will not have to flip burgers for the rest of their lives.
