Pelosi trumps Bush on bogus "free trade" agreement

Nancy Pelosi, the Speaker of the House, did something that perhaps even she isn't aware of. She put the Bush Administration in their box by calling for a vote on a Congressional resolution that essentially says that the super-regulating, "free trade" dealing Dubya Bush can't always have things his way. Pelosi may not be aware of the neat chess move she just played on the dufus president by taking the Coumbia, South America "free trade" deal off the table, but nevertheless she proved one thing by that slick manuver. It proves that the power to bring the runaway Presidency back under control rests with Congress! The Columbia trade deal going down the toilet isn't the issue here, even if later on Pelosi caves in and allows a vote on the Columbian Free trade agreement. That isn't the issue here, my friend. It's the fact that as the Speaker of The House, she proved that Congress is king of the hill- not the president. No president is king of the hill, regardless of how high up they reach in the maniac scale! Forget McCain, even if he should be elected, he couldn't get a popcorn fart passed if Congress didn't approve.
