Morning Buzz: March 10, 2008

After a five-month investigation, the Associated Press is reporting this morning that drugs—from antibiotics to mood stabilizers—have been found in drinking water supplies across the country. While the concentration of many of the drugs is tiny, scientists are worrying about what the long-term health consequences of ingesting these drugs could be.

After winning Saturday's Wyoming caucuses, Barack Obama is looking to Mississippi's contest on Tuesday to rack up more delegates and regain momentum in the supertight Democratic primary race. Obama is favored to win the southern state. Then both he and rival Hillary Clinton will focus campaigning efforts heavily on delegate-rich Pennsylvania, which holds a primary on April 22. 

The national average for a gallon of gas was up 9 cents from two weeks ago and compared with last year was up 64 cents, according to a study.. Of the cities examined, the cheapest gas was found in Cheyenne, Wyo., where customers could pay $2.95 at the pump. The most expensive gas was found in San Francisco, where it costs $3.58 a gallon.
