Florida Power Outage Shows Vulnerability

Today's massive power outage across a wide swath of the Sunshine State brings to mind the vulnerability of dependency on huge power systems. In 2003, after a summertime widespread blackout in the Midwest and Northeast, U.S. News investigated what is a chaotic system of energy delivery.  And last year, we looked at continued bottlenecks in the system.
