Hillary Clinton, for better or worse, had the sound bite of the night in Thursday's Democratic presidential debate in Austin. "If your candidacy is going to be about words then they should be your own words," she said, speaking to Barack Obama. "Lifting whole passages from someone else's speeches is not change you can believe in, it's change you can Xerox." The remark prompted boos from some in the audience.

Defense Secretary Robert Gates delivered a mixed message regarding the continued withdrawal of troops from Iraq. Gates said he anticipates a "brief pause" in troop reductions in July before he attempts to withdraw more troops in the next 10 to 12 months.

Thousands of Serbian demonstrators continue to wreak havoc in the wake of Kosovo's declaration of independence this past Sunday. At least one person has died and 150 people have been injured in the violence.
