GOP Pollster: Bush Will Stay Mired
President Bush will have immense difficulty getting Americans to lift his job-approval ratings for the rest of his time in office, says Republican pollster Frank Luntz. Voters are confident that Bush believes what he's saying, and they consider him consistent and passionate about his views. The problem, says Luntz, who has conducted many focus groups on these themes, is that Americans don't agree with what Bush is saying. So no matter how genuine and authentic President Bush seems to be, it won't make much difference, Luntz says, adding: "People have moved on."
