Presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton celebrated her 60th birthday last night at New York's historic Beacon Theater and raked in more than $1.5 million for her campaign for the White House. She was joined by husband Bill and daughter Chelsea, along with a handful of other celebrities. The former president told the audience that his wife was "still looking, I think, very beautiful" at 60.

Astronauts parked shuttle Discovery at the international space station and today conducted their first spacewalk. Astronauts Scott Parazynski and Douglas Wheelock helped to install a new live-in compartment on the orbiting lab.

In the spirit of Halloween, the Associated Press and Ipsos conducted a poll that found nearly 1 in 4 people—23 percent—reports having seen a ghost or felt a ghost's presence. The most likely candidates for seeing ghosts include single people, Roman Catholics, and those who don't attend religious services. Also, liberals have seen spirits more often than conservatives, by 31 to 18 percent.
