The consumer price index dropped 0.1 percent last month in its first dip since October 2006, the Labor Department reported today. Decreased energy costs led to the decline, though food prices continue to climb.  This news comes a day after the Federal Reserve cut a key interest rate to diminish the chance of the country's falling into a recession.

O.J. Simpson's lawyer is trying to get the former football star out of jail a day after Simpson was charged with additional offenses, including first-degree kidnapping, which carries a life sentence. He was allegedly involved in a Las Vegas hotel armed robbery of his own sports memorabilia. 

A Nebraska state senator, fed up with frivolous lawsuits, has decided to make a point. He's suing God. State Sen. Ernie Chambers filed the lawsuit last week, claiming that God made terrorist threats against the senator and his constituents and caused widespread death and destruction to millions of Earth's
