Even as the new U.S. offensive against al Qaeda in Iraq continues northeast of Baghdad, a truck bomb struck a Shiite mosque in central Baghdad today, killing at least 75 people, according to the AP.

AT&T has quietly unveiled a new $10-per-month broadband service plan as part of its $86 billion acquisition of BellSouth Corp., which was approved by the FCC last December.

Researchers at the University of Illinois have created a substance that, like human skin, can heal itself, reparing fissures automatically.

The online travel agent Expedia.com is buying back up to $3.5 billion of its own stock without explanation.
